Cllr Catherine Bunting

Elected to Great Missenden Parish Council in May 2021, Catherine stood because she wanted to be a voice for nature, and for social demographics who are often left behind.  She chairs the Climate Change and Environmental Working Group, and is an active member of the Open Spaces Committee and Planning Committee.

Catherine is passionate about people and the planet, and is always happy to spend time talking to people who would like to understand more about what we can all do as individuals to reduce our carbon footprints.  She opened the first Climate Café in Bucks, and is active in challenging Bucks Council on their inaction in terms of a form commitment to Net Zero.

Her day job is running an Environmental Recruitment Consultancy, and in her spare time, Catherine is active in the community being a trustee for Prestwood Nature and also Chiltern Welcomes, a charity welcoming refugees into the local area.  She is also working with a local group in Prestwood to open a community fridge.  She’s generally seen walking her dogs around the Parish every morning!
