A Massive Week for the Green Party

The council elections have delivered a massive growth in the number of Green Party councillors. Co-leader Adrian Ramsay said: “Green councillors are being elected in ever higher numbers across the country and are ready to deliver for their communities.”

You’re an impressive lot so let’s keep up this momentum and get behind our candidates for the General Election.

Let me introduce them to you.

Catherine grew up in Devon and became a keen environmentalist at a young age. She lives in Prestwood in the Chilterns with her husband Matthew, and son and step son. Catherine feels passionately about the links between climate justice and social justice, and is driven by wanting to ensure a liveable future for her boys, and other children across the globe.

Frances was born in 1968 and grew up in London, where she studied Graphic Design at the London College of Printing. I have worked since 2008 for the local acute NHS trust, now named Oxford University Hospitals, as Web Communications Officer.

Chesham has been Justine’s home since 1991. As a family they have loved the semi-rural location of Chesham within the Chiltern Hills, the Chess chalk stream running past their doorstep and what remains of our formerly much more vibrant Town Centre.

Dominick lives near Beaconsfield with Emma and has two grown up sons. He is passionate about social justice and believes in the urgency to transform into a post growth economy. Dominick will use his privilege to challenge decision makers. He also does fun stuff.

Gregory Smith became an elected Green Party councillor for Buckinghamshire Unitary Authority in 2020. He is committed to local communities, local business and good quality local services. If elected he will continue to challenge the central government attack on local democracy. The NHS, social care and education needs to be properly funded with staff paid appropriately.

You’ll be hearing a lot from us as we build towards the election. Please give your support and offer your help in spreading the Green Party’s infectious generosity.

The candidates don’t receive and financial support form central office and campaigning can be an exspensive business. I’f you have a few quid spare, and I know that’s a big ask at the moment, we could really to with you help. You can donate here: Donate Here and Make Magic Happen
